Community groups
Our church is at the heart of a vibrant, welcoming community, and we’re delighted to host a range of groups and activities for people of all ages. From friendly coffee mornings and our Fairtrade stall to our lunch club, theatre group, food bank and preschool play group, each gathering offers connection, support and the chance to enjoy life together. Whether you’re looking for companionship, practical help or simply a warm space to belong, there’s something here for you.

Lunch Club
The Lunch Club has been meeting now for nearly twenty years. It is intended to serve members of our community whose social lives are restricted by age or infirmity or recent bereavement. Indeed many of those attending tell us that it’s the one time in the month that they meet with others and have the chance to chat over an enjoyable meal.
Before the meal there is a half hour Holy Communion Service in church which is optional but which most of the diners attend. After the service, there is a two-course home-made meal. Our team of volunteers work hard to accommodate different tastes and dietary requirements. After the meal is finished and the tables have been cleared there is some form of entertainment, usually bingo.

Nuneaton Foodbank
The Nuneaton Foodbank is sponsored by the Trussell Trust which works in partnership with local churches and organisations to create a foodbank network for communities across the UK. There are now over 275 foodbanks in the network.
The Foodbank provides 3 days emergency food for people in need. People can access this help by getting a voucher from a wide variety of agencies including social work, schools, support workers etc. (We do not issue the food vouchers at St Paul’s). The Foodbank also offers support and direction to other agencies who can help in a particular crisis.
Enquiries about volunteering at Foodbank are always welcome.
St Paul’s is also a Collection Point for Foodbank. Donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries can be left in the green donation box whenever the church is open.
Nuneaton Foodbank also operates from:
- Manor Court Baptist Church
- Holy Trinity Attleborough
- CHESS Centre, Camp Hill
For more information and to find an up-to-date list of donations that are most needed, please visit the Nuneaton Foodbank webpages here.
