Over the last three weeks, we’ve had the joy of welcoming over 45 young carers and support staff from Stockingford Academy, Portland Lane Primary School and St. Paul’s CofE Primary School into Church for Easter-themed sessions.
Each visit began with a chat about the length and the meaning of Easter for Christians. The children created beautiful Easter baskets and decorated their biscuits to represent the empty tomb – the stone rolled away, and Jesus is risen!
After snacks and a drink, the excitement continued with an egg hunt around the building, with the children searching high and low for brightly coloured paper eggs. The laughter and energy were a real highlight.
Following their success in finding all the Easter eggs, each child was gifted a chocolate Easter egg to take home.
A huge thank you to our friends at Nisa S & K Arbury Road and @Making A Difference Locally for a generous donation, which enabled us to provide the Easter crafts, biscuits and Easter eggs for young carers. Their kindness has helped make these sessions truly special and spread the love and joy of Easter with our young carers.
