PCC Round Up – September 2016

Building & Finance: Repair to the path and drains are being considered and will go ahead at a later date. Other maintenance jobs being carried out are the cabling in the Parish Centre and a new bulb in one of the Church projectors.

Mission & Discipleship: The Men’s group is being well attended and further gatherings are to be arranged. New members always welcome. Small groups are up and running. All are welcome and new members are to be encouraged. The Alpha Course is going well with nine regular guests. The toddler group is to be re-launched early November under the new banner of Stay and Play, and will be run by members of the church. New equipment will be bought for the group.

A plea for more volunteers to help run the Friday Night Drop In was made as, at the moment, the group cannot run due to lack of leaders.

The Harvest charity for 2016 was decided as the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Mustard Seed appeal.

The PCC agreed to the purchase of a new photocopier as the one in the office is not as efficient as it could be.

The position of Foundation Governor is due for re-election at St. Paul’s School. The PCC nominated Jim Boughey for this role replacing Claire Emptage who has been the Foundation Governor for some time.

Beer and Carols has been organised for Thursday 15th December at the Miner’s Arms.
