The PCC met on 11 May when the following matters were discussed:
New officers were elected for the year: Gary King, Treasurer and Joanna Boughey, Secretary and Electoral Roll Officer.
8EQs – Summer talks on Bible-related subjects. Quiet Day in September – Journeying through Mark.
Traidcraft Stall has had significant items stolen during Sunday service. PCSOs to be advised and security steps taken.
The Toddler Group provision is being investigated, hopefully a new group can be started shortly, which would be run under the Church banner.
Safeguarding training undertaken and Safer Recruiting packs to be used for future volunteers.
Management Groups:
Mission & Discipleship: Small groups planned. Men’s Group inaugurated with visit to Mosque planned.
Buildings & Finance: Health & Safety policy to be circulated to all users of the building, together with revised lettings policy. Path replacement underway. Food hygiene course to be finalised. Finances holding steady. PCC to look at projects for capital expenditure.
Social: Rob Halligan concert arranged for 21 May – numbers disappointing. Holiday Club planning underway. Bazaar planning to commence after Christian Aid Week, with rethink on outside arrangements.
Worship & Spirituality: Review of Lent taken place, Coventry Pilgrimage and Christian Aid Week arrangements discussed.
