The PCC met on 9 March when the following matters were discussed:
Vision for the Future: Summary of ideas and suggestions from Café Church. Over next 2 years priorities would be to encourage young families into Church via Baptism and Messy Church, and also to use facilities now available at Park Lane School to make better connection with that area of our Parish. Further feedback to congregation at APCM, the date of which had been changed to 24 April.
8EQs – action plan included raising quality of prayer life and engaging more with Bible.
Management Groups:
Pastoral Care: Prayer lists updated and Easter cards arranged
Mission & Discipleship: Kate hoped to arrange an Alpha Course at our Church during the Autumn school term.
Buildings & Finance: Health & Safety policy to be circulated to all users of the building, as soon as this was approved. Awaiting final quote for path replacement. CUF and Rank funding available for continuation of Messy Church activities.
Social: Money raised at Murder Mystery to be put towards new Community notice board. Rob Halligan concert arranged for 21 May to coincide with Christian Aid Week.
Worship & Spirituality: Maundy Thursday meal to utilise small tables to encourage more fellowship. Cross to be decorated with ribbons this year.
Finance: Holding steady.
