The PCC met on 10 December and 14 January when the following matters were discussed:
New Wine Conference – Summarised details of course handed out and discussed. Thanks to our representatives who attended.
Finance: Envelope collection similar to previous year but slightly down. Gift Aid claim made and now received. Bazaar takings down this year. Parish Share increase £3000 for year.
Induction service: Programme prepared and approved by Bishop ready for printing. Invitations issued as requested.
Management Groups:
Mission & Spirituality: No minutes but Lent course planning in hand. This will be based on Les Miserables.
Building & Finance: Kitchen revamp moving forward. Toilets also to have new flooring. We may have to consider re-carpeting the Parish Centre in the near future.
Social: No meeting but will plan refreshments for Induction.
Youth Work: Little progress with Youth 180 or the Academy. Friday night Youth Group still being manned by volunteers.
Community Café – Solicitors attempting to sort out legal requirements for new charity to run this venture.
