The PCC met on 8th October 2014 when the following matters were discussed:
Safeguarding: DBS checks to be completed and then renewed automatically.
3 volunteers for New Wine conference.
Finance: Holding steady, two donations received via recent funerals. 60 Bibles purchased for St. Paul’s School.
Vicarage: May be some changes to kitchen proposals but Kate would sort this out.
All Souls Service 2nd November at 5.30pm.
Management Groups:
Mission & Spirituality: 8 essential qualities – feedback from congregation being analysed.
Buildings & Finance: Kitchen revamp moving forward – David had prepared plan and Lesley was sourcing appliances. Approximate cost £17,000. Kitchen would then be registered under Food Hygiene Regulations.
Social: Calamity Jane evening for Harvest 11th October. Short meeting to finalise details for this event.
Pilgrim Course went well and resources to be purchased for follow-on course. Hopefully the first course would be rerun in New Year.
Youth Work: No success recruiting part-time youth worker but local advert to be run to see if candidate could be found.
