PCC Minutes – July 2014

The PCC met on 9 July 2014 when the following matters were discussed:

Pilgrim Course – Introduction to faith to start on 4 September at 7pm.

Finance: Income similar to last year. 6 months gift aid claim to be made.

Deanery Synod: No meeting but it appears the Fosse system will be adopted.

Interregnum: PCC agreed that Mike would attend shortlisting and interviews as observer with input, but no vote. Closing date for applications 1 August, interviews 8/9 September.

Management Groups:

Mission and Spirituality: Minutes circulated. 8 essential qualities – ongoing, but clearer aims since last meeting with Martin Saxby – summer talks to reflect this aspect. Community Café still proceeding – discussions regarding Community Interest company. Academy – input still required, part-time Youth Worker post to be advertised taking this into account.

Buildings and Finance: alarm company would be consulted regarding fob system entry code. Diocese to be advised of problems with wall when inspection of vicarage made when empty. Kitchen revamp – Les and Lesley to look at possible dishwashers, boiler may need replacement, plus supplementary water boiler.

Social: Calamity Jane evening for Harvest 11 October. Harvest charity discussed – tins for Trussell Trust and Zoe’s Place suggested for donations – speaker may be available.

Holiday Club change of services for 31 August, with no communion, just celebration service at 10am.
