World War I Commemoration

St. Paul’s Church, Stockingford is joining with other churches locally and nationally by holding a service to commemorate the centenary of the beginning of World War I.

The theme will be one of quiet remembrance of the fallen, based on the Roll of Honour found in the church.

There will also be an opportunity for the descendants of any whose names are not recorded on the church roll to offer names to add to the prayers.

The service will be held on Sunday 3rd August 2014 at 6.30pm.

Please make this a community act of worship worthy of our gratitude to the fallen and survivors alike.

The list of names recorded on the church memorial plaque can be found here.

If you have any information about any of the people recorded here that you would like to share, please let John Law know at Church, or email publicity@stpaulsstockingford.org.uk

If you would like to add further names to the prayers, please arrive at Church prior to the service.
