The PCC met on 14 May 2014 when the following matters were discussed:
Finance: Envelope giving not meeting parish share at present. Parish share has been increased.
Deanery Synod: Further discussions would take place regarding calculation of parish share; three proposals to date, none of which were ideal, one suggesting loss of three clergy in Deanery. PCC gave their comments to pass on via Deanery Synod Reps.
Interregnum: Archdeacon Morris had visited and talked the PCC through the appointment process, involving the 8 essential qualities which now form the basis for the Diocese mission.
No meetings during lent, other than to finalise the Adrian Plass/Rob Halligan concert, which after covering costs, had raised £180 to be donated to Christian Aid.
Pilgrim Course – the PCC agreed to support this, which was an exploration of faith course in two parts, produced by the Church of England. This would be advertised to start in September if sufficient takers.
Parish Profile – initial draft document, as part of the process for appointment of vicar, had been prepared and PCC to go through this and amend as necessary.
Frank Williams concert (actor – vicar in Dads’ Army) booked for 27 September – further details later
