PCC Minutes – Dec 2013 & Jan 2014

The PCC met on 11 December 2013 and 8 January 2014 when the following matters were discussed:

Eight Essential Qualities: Survey completed and sent to Diocese, results now back but awaiting appointment from Archdeacon to discuss further.

Finance: Envelope giving not meeting parish share at present, could be a problem during interregnum. PCC approved increase in wedding and funeral fees. Balcony to be carpeted in the New Year.

Interregnum: A retired vicar had agreed to take one service per month and two baptism services a 12noon and 1pm on the first Sunday of each month. Weddings would be covered by Fr. Mick until new appointment.

Management Groups:
Mission & Spirituality: Awaiting results of survey and to look at Lent Course for 2014.
Social: Arrangements in hand for Patronal Festival Meal on 26 January at Weston Hall.
Youth Worker: Future of youth work at St. Paul’s o be discussed by Committee.
Buildings & Finance: Trying to find roofing firm willing to access church roof to re-site slipped tile and clean gutters. Usual contractors not available until March/April. Heating system repaired and working.
