The PCC met on 13 November 2013 when the following matters were discussed:
Eight Essential Qualities: Invite letters sent out and meeting to complete questionnaire was to take place on 24 November.
Finance: Income holding steady at present but PCC fees will decrease during interregnum. Parish share to be increased by 2.1% for 2014.
Management Groups:
Mission and Spirituality: Minutes circulated – Community Café business plan to be prepared and Paul had attended funding seminar in Stoke on Trent. Advent Nativity scene planned for weekend of 14/15 December with Bedworth Brass playing on evening of 13th. Messy Church with Christingle on 15th. Advent meditations on 5, 12, 19 December.
Social: A meeting had taken place but no minutes available.
Buildings and Finance: Meeting to be arranged.
Planning for interregnum – Church wardens had attended a meeting and reported back on the likely time scale for appointment – nine months appeared to be the most likely scenario on the assumption that an appointment would be made at the initial interviews.
Christmas Charities: This year the PCC agreed to support the Caritas Children’s hospital in Bethlehem, and the Syria crisis.
