PCC Minutes – May 2013

The PCC met on 8 May 2013 when the following matters were discussed:
We welcomed our two new members Joanna and David.

Officers were appointed as follows:-
Treasurer Gary King, Covenant Secretary Paul West, Secretary and Electoral Roll Officer Anne Murray.

Finance: Income holding steady at present

Summer Gala 23 June – draw tickets to be ordered, poster after Christian Aid Week.

Mission & Spirituality: Feedback from Lent Group questionnaires being collated, Foodbank centres all up and running, Ride & Stride in September – Church to be open, Quiet Day venues being investigated, Summer Talks under discussion.

Social: Final planning meeting for Murder Mystery evening.

Buildings & Finance: No meeting – next date arranged in June.

Community Café: A very positive meeting with other local churches keen to take part. Looking at other venture in Earlsdon, where a similar project is up and running.

Wreath laying ceremony for George Eliot Fellowship on 2 June – representatives would attend.

Winter Night Shelter – Nuneaton churches ken to open so that shelter could be provided on each night of the week at one venue. Jane Noble to attend meeting to gather further information.

Cleaning problems with groups using facilities and these would be monitored.

Following two thefts from church, congregation would be advised to be vigilant of personal possessions.
