On Saturday 15th September at 7.30pm at St. Paul’s Church, there is a special launch as St. Paul’s are signing up to a Church Partnership Scheme with St. John’s Methodist Church and St.Nicolas Church to raise monies to help disabled young people in Israel and Lebanon who have been damaged by war and violence. Our Harvest Appeal in October is the main way in which we will raise our share of the total. The scheme asks the three churches between them to raise £5,000 over two years and then Christian Aid has an arrangement with the EU for the money to be increased to £20,000. To launch the Partnership Scheme, Nader from the Bethlehem YMCA is the speaker. Please come along and give your support.
- In the last 48 hours, we have celebrated Harvest very thoroughly. On Saturday, we had a ceilidh and quiz at our Harvest Supper. On Sunday, the Brownies and Guides joined us for worship bringing joy, energy and harvest gifts. Today, we welcomed close to a thousand children and adults from St Paul's and Stockingford Primary to three school Harvest Services. Here are some photos of our Harvest decorations, including a Harvest Loaf made by the Stockingford Primary cook! Some of the creative talents on display at St Paul's at the recent Open Arts TrailFriday 10.30am - 12noon in the Church Centre.
