The PCC met in May and June 2012 when the following matters were discussed:
New Store room – construction now completed, discussions as to best method of fitting out with shelves, etc. to maximise storage area. Groups would be allocated space in due course.
Refurbishment of Kitchen – Plans had been provided for various alterations – in the short term, cooker would be professionally cleaned to ensure best output.
Finance – Messy Church grant had been received. Money transferred from deposit account to cover store building. Envelope giving not meeting parish share.
Mission and Spirituality: Minutes circulated – Summer talks possibly to include speakers from other faiths. Wider magazine distributions arranged.
Social: Minutes circulated – Jubilee tea very well supported and enjoyed. Arrangements for 1940s evening in July are in hand.
Builings and Finance: Minutes circulated – metal shelving decided upon for store room fitting. Some works completed as required by Quinquennial inspection, others will require specialist input particularly the cross on the chancel roof. Monday group would look at other mentioned items to see what could be done.
Solar panels – one quote had been received to provide a 16 panel array and other quotes would be obtained. DAC would be asked for advice and input regarding this matter and an energy audit for the building.
