The PCC met 10 November, when the following items were discussed:-
Altar furniture: Mick had obtained designs which were discussed. A quote in the region of £6500 had been received. A visit to company’s premises to see their work was suggested.
Finance: Income slightly up on last year. Gas bill over £4000 paid. Gift Aid claim of £4500 due. PCC fees to Diocese due at end of year.
Building and Finance – Charity Commissioners’ registration still not finalised. Storage space – faculty to be applied for – DAC had intimated there would be no problem but walls to be left unplastered and no ceiling fitted so existing external brickwork still visible. Architect to apply for planning permission. Gutters to be cleared of leaves. No funding available for Breathing Spaces – churchyard development. Discussion regarding resiting of plaque over small vestry door – left in abeyance.
Pastoral and Social – Patronal meal arranged for 23 January at the Blue Boar.
Mission and Outreach and Workship and Spirituality – no meeting – Festival arrangements in hand.
Beer and Hymns evening arranged for Tuesday 14 December at The Royal Oak.
