PCC Minutes – October 2010

The PCC met 20 October, when the following items were discussed:

Altar furniture: Mick obtaining quotes from company specialising in church furnishings – awaiting designs and prices.

Harvest: The supper was enjoyed by all – tinned food distributed and collection for Pakistan flood victims.

Projection system: Work in progress – should be completed shortly.

Finance: Income remained similar to last year. Diocesan share would be increased next year by 3.5%, which means an increase to us of around £25 per week. New system to be introduced in 2012 which, with wealthier parishes in Diocese subsidising poorer areas, would mean an increase to around £40,000 per annum for our Parish.

Management Groups:

Building and Finance – no meeting

Pastoral and Social – Patronal meal to be arranged for January and Murder Mystery evening 4 March.

Mission and Outreach and Worship and Spirituality: Planning undertaken for Nativity Festival 10, 11, 12 December – The Journey to Bethlehem – hopefully displays could be used with schools to teach the Christmas Story. List on board to sign up for display for each part of the Journey.

Cleaning: Pro-forma circulated to all users of hall and centre.

Boxing Day – 26 December – one service at 9am

Date of next meeting 10 November
