PCC Minutes – September 2010

The PCC met on September 8th, when the following items were discussed:

Welcoming newcomers – this was a concern to be looked at.

Harvest October 3rd, Harvest Suppper October 2nd – ploughman’s supper with apple pie, home grown entertainment. Tins to be collected and distributed by school and monetary collection for Pakistan flood victims, as requested by Diocese.

Churchyard: It was hoped to involve the local authority and Breathing Spaces in a churchyard project next year, to provide better access to the churchyard.

Finance: Income remained similar to last year.
Quote agreed for new projection system Still awaiting DAC approval to plans for additional storage area, local authority would have no objection.
Diocesan Share: This is likely to be increased by 4.5% for 2011.

Management Groups: The management groups had not held meetings during August.

Cleaning: Jane had made a few notes for distribution to all groups using the hall and parish centre, to ensure that the necessary equipment was available for each area to be used independently. A pro-forma would be provided for each group to complete. It was also necessary for the Hammond organ to be removed from the centre and various options were being considered.
